MY BABY GRADUATED!!!

On June 9th she walked across the stage at Ashbrook High School with honors and was handed her diploma.  I was so proud of her and what all she has accomplished in her past 12 years of school.  Now she is off to the beach for the week and enjoying herself with some friends from school.  I have a lot more pics to post but for now I just have 1.

Always eating!!

Well lets see a lot has been going on in the Huskey household.  Jasmine is getting ready to graduate from High School finally.  I always thought I wasn't ready for that chapter of my life to close but this last semester of the school year has totally changed my mind.  There is only 1 more left to graduate and that is DaShun and that will be in 2 years.  We went to her last chorus concert on Monday and it was really good and I am going to miss those.  I love hearing them sing.  We have a lot going on over the next couple of weeks with senior picnic, Prom, Vespars, senior breakfast and then Graduation Day.  It is going to be a sad next couple of weeks but like I said it is just another chapter that will be ending but the book will always remain open it will just be another chapter starting.  It has been so interesting watching all the "kids" grow up.  Donnovan hates when I call them kids because in my eyes that is what they will always be to me.  DJ is out on his own and working full time.  We get to see Deasia ever so often.  You know you love having grandbabies because you can love them and spoil them and when you are done send them home.  She is a mess we kept her Saturday while they went to a movie and she is wide open.  All she yells is DADA all the time and then she will start this loud squel.  We took her to Lowes with us and she kept grabbing on Donnovan's tshirt trying to pull him back to her just a fussing at him and yelling DADA.  Everyone I guess is DADA.  She has 2 front teeth on the bottom and she knows how to use them too.  Eats anything you put in her mouth.  I wish I had a video to share of her eating it is hilarious.  She rolls the food around in her mouth while making this gosh awful face like it is nasty but then she will want more.  TOO TOO Cute. 

Our anniversary was May 6th and we actually got to enjoy a long weekend trip together.  Mom was going out of town so we got to stay at her house.  It was so nice not having to entertain anyone or worry about getting up letting dogs out to go potty.  We just relaxed and enjoyed everyday.  We did a lot of shopping and went to the movies.  On Sunday we did a Brunch cruise in the Harbor and it was so nice and peaceful.  The food was yummy and the staff greeted up with Happy Anniversary and had a card on our table.  I just thought that was so nice.  We left Jasmine and DaShun at the house over the weekend and yes it was still standing when we got back.  I had my neighbor keep and eye on things for me.  I think all couples need that time with each other and not just on special occasions.  That is one thing I think I have been looking forward too is that time with my hubby. 

LIL MISS DEASIA HUSKEY

My first granddaughter was born Sept 15, 2011. She is so so precious and she is going to be so spoiled if I have anything to do with it. I could just sit in my rocker and cuddle with her. She is so cute and so advance. It is so funny she will try to carry on a conversation with you and she thinks she really is talking. Me and her pawpaw fight over her cause he wants to rock and cuddle. We get to spend her first Christmas with her she is going to have a stocking full of bottles, teething rings, and pacifiers...lol!!!!

Stones.....My Kidney Stones!!!!

Well for the past month I have been having really bad stomach pains. I have had kidney stones before but this time the pain didn't feel the same so off to the ER I went. It has to be hurting pretty bad for me to go to an ER especially on the weekend. So they did an xray and seen my kidney stone on the left and said it was still there hasn't moved so it must be Diverticulitis. So I was like oh ok then a new thing to deal with so I was relieved I had found out what was going on and so started my meds. Well it got better but it came back in 2 weeks. So went to my local Dr and told them what was going on so they gave me some more meds to take. Got to feeling better again and at this point I was thinking am I going to have to deal with every month. No way!!! So it started feeling better again. Needless to say a week later I was back at the Dr office again told them what was going on said the same thing so back on meds again. Went over what I was eating nothing that could have flared it up again so now I was getting worried. So last Wednesday I went to eat at Cracker Barrel ( love that place) so soft foods and didn't eat a whole lot at all. Got back to work I was doubling over in pain stomach was KILLING me. So, my sweet loving husband was with me at work still, I told him I had to go somewhere he said you are going to CMC at Pineville that was the closes place. It was so funny because when I went back to get my vitals I was telling the nurse what was going on and she kept saying it sounds like a kidney stone I was like no way the pain isn't the same as before. So I sat in a little room waiting on a exam room but in the mean time I had to drink contrast and go get a MRI of my stomach. Well low and behold finally after sitting there in pain for 3 1/2 hours finally got a room. And low and behold you have a 7mm kidney stone that is lodged in your urethra right outside your kidney and it stuck. It was so big it couldn't pass it. So this is great what now. They, of course, gave me some meds to take that will expand my urethra. I did get some rest that night thank goodness. So the next day I had to follow up with a urologist. Sweet Dr she was so nice and blunt. I don't see you passing that stone and I really don't want you to go thru the weekend just to end back up in the er. So I said what do I do? Well you have 2 options 1) you can have them shocked wave 2) we can put a stint in. I was like well the shock wave doesn't sound that bad so I choose that one. BAD MISTAKE. I read up on it on line well needless to stay that is what they did in the older days now they do it totally different. That was the worst pain and if I ever have to get it done again they are going to have to knock me totally out. I had a reaction to the meds they gave me made me sick as a dog. They did break them up and I was passing them before I left the hospital. But low and behold the big one was trying to come thru that nite. It HURT!!!! I was begging Donnovan to find out if I could take more pain meds that every 4 hour stuff wasn't working. So I called mom and he tried to get my Dr that did the procedure. They both said the same thing I couldn't pop them pills fast enough that nite. I can't describe the relief I felt it was like I was floating on soft white pillow of clouds. So off to sleep I went. But my poor hubby was worried because of the meds I was taking and couldn't sleep for a long time. Bless his heart I love him:). He was a great care giver and I couldn't have went through all of this with out him. He does have patience I can vouch for that.

My Sweet Niece and Nephew

OK so we had the pleasure of going to my moms this weekend and seeing my little sweet beautiful niece Emma. She is so adorable that I could just kiss her little cheeks all day long. We cuddled all weekend and yes I was very selfish. I don't when the next time I would get to see her again so I had to take advantage this go around. She has really blue eyes and sort of reddish hair. She was doing good until I was feeding her and I heard her filling her diaper up and when I went to get up and seen not only was her diaper full but so was my leg. I haven't had that happen in a long time...LOL. I used to cuddle with Matthew when he was little now he doesn't have anything to do with except answer a question every now and again. So I guess the same thing will happen to Emma when she gets older. How sad we don't live closer to each other. Matthew is a very handsome fellow and smart goodness how smart he is. I loved to watch him play. We had him out on the last day chasing bubbles and the sun was bright and he kept saying sun in my eyes and he looked over the way and seen some shade next thing I know he said there is come shade and took off over there to it. How smart is that!!!!! I loved seeing Heather and spending time with her I haven't seen her since Thanksgiving. She is such a wonderful mother and has so much patience and love for her children. Her and Josh are doing a GREAT job and have two precious babies. I can't wait till next time I get to see them again.

Fun Weekend

We had a house full this weekend 6 young adults, 4 dogs, and mom & dad. WOW!!! But we had a really good time playing and laughing. So I decided to bring out the Chocolate fountain Sunday and buy some fruit and other good stuff for dipping. I couldn't keep Donnovan and Shea out of it as you can tell.

DJ's First Prom

Well this past Saturday, May 15 was DJ's first prom at Bessemer City HS. He looked so handsome and all grown up. They had another couple and 2 other ladies that joined them in a limo ride to Cheese Cake Factory in Charlotte and then off to the prom in Kings Mountain. He said he had a really good time and I am so glad he did. It is amazing how time has just flew by. I was looking at pictures the other week when he was a little boy about 5 or 6 years old. I sure have enjoyed watching him grow up and become a man. Next year will be his last year of high school and then off to college. He surely has turned out to be a fine young man. He plays football and enjoys it a lot. I am so glad that Donnovan will be home next school year so we can go to some of his games.

Happy and Sad Times

Well we have had a lot going on in our family. I lost a wonderful mother-in-law and Donnovan lost a wonder mother. She passed away April 4, 2010 on Easter Sunday. The Lord called her home on a wonderful day. She had suffered so much and her body was so tired I knew she was ready to go home to our Heavenly Father. She was such a dear and special lady and you just couldn't help but to love her. We miss her daily and always thinks about her but know she is in a much better place with no pain. She has suffered with Lupus for a long time and her lungs just wasn't what they once were.
Last Friday May 7, 2010 I got a call from a friend I worked with as Waste Management asking me if I heard about Kim Blanton a long time friend I said no. Well she passed away today at 3:40 from a massive heart attack. (Kim too had Lupus) I was in shock and speechless. I had just spoke with her the day before and it just didn't seem real. So I went to her funeral Tuesday. She too was a special lady and dear friend that I worked with at WM for 10years. We have lost 2 very special people in our lives.
But on a happier note my dear sweet loving husband whom I haven't been able to spend any time with over the past almost 3 months will be home everyday starting May 24. He has taken a local job to be home with his family. I just can't tell you how happy and excited I am. This is DJ's last year of school and he plays football and last year Donnovan wasn't able to make but 1 or 2 games due to his work. So he said this year since it is his last year he wanted to be there to see him play. You just can't get those memories or moments back. Once they are gone they are gone. We have 4 wonderful and sometime smarty pant teens. Shea is 19 and attends Gardner Webb and DJ who will be 17 June 30th is a senior at Bessemer City HS next school year and Jasmine who will be a junior next year at Ashbrook High and Shun who will be a freshman at Shelby High School. Where has the time gone????????? I know we talk a lot of junk about them leaving the nest but I am telling you I know I am gonna be heart broken not having a house full every other weekend. Well I say that we thought Shea would stop coming up and she still hasn't so maybe there is hope....LOL.
So needless to say we are gonna have a really busy summer with Donnovan being home. More trips to moms house so we can hit the beach. We already have one planned for Memorial Day weekend we are leaving as soon as he gets thru with workFriday and heading that way and come back on Monday. WOOHOO!!!! Well the next big thing is my sis having her little baby girl in June. I don't know when I will see her but you never know I may hear a road trip in the future.
I know this is long but I just want to thank my Heavenly Father for such wonderful blessings he has given me each and every day. A wonderful and loving family and a place where we can call home. I don't stop and say thank him as much as I should but I am VERY thankful and grateful every day. Without him in our lives we are not complete.

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Well folks we made to 10 years!!!!! May 6th 2010. So of course the hubby wasn't home to celebrate but he will be here Saturday. We are going to Outback and to the movies to see Clash of the Titans. I want to see Iron Man 2 but oh well we can see it another day. I can't wait to see him these weeks just seem to keep getting longer and longer while he is gone. He got assigned a new route running from Atlanta to Orlando all week long so he is gone Monday thru Sat. BUT starting May 31 he will be home every day with me. He starts his new job and I can't wait either. Off EVERY weekend which he hasn't done that in a long time and home every nite which he hasn't done in a long time too.
So Jasmine got her report card yesterday and of course awesome grades. 3 A's and 2 B's. Can't ask for much better than that. High B's too. She is so smart things just come so easy and natural for her it seems. I hope that is always the case. DJ has been helping me out a lot picking up Jasmine from school so I can work over. So this is what it is gonna feel like next year when I don't have to pick her up anymore. I like this:)

WOW A NEW UPDATE

Well I haven't updated in forever. So thought it was time to do so. We have had a lot going on in our household since Christmas. So here we go. Well we have had several birthdays, 6 to be exact, and aren't quiet thru celebrating them. Me and Donnovan enjoyed a nice weekend together for his birthday and trust me it was nice. No kids and no DOGS!!! We had a big nice king size bed and I got to stretch out. Oh Man!!! The only down side was me and Donnovan didn't even touch all nite long we had that much room and it was weird. So we attempted to go to the race track Saturday but that was a disappointment no one showed up for test n tune. So we went shopping and got some really good deals. Donnovan got 2 pairs of pants and 2 shirts so he was happy. After that we went to get something to eat and then back to the hotel. OMG we got to sleep in until 915. And it felt really good but I think I did get too much rest. So then after that we checked out went and bought a bday present for Louise(mother-in-law). Her bday is today March 1st. So we took her shopping to get her out of the house and to lunch. She had a lot of fun she hasn't been able to get out and do anything but back and fourth to the doctor so this was a treat for her. I told her she had x amount of dollars to spend and you would have thought I told her she had a million dollars. LOL She could buy anything she wanted clothes or stuff for her house. That made me so happy to watch her cause she has been so down and hasn't had much energy to get out and she really did enjoy that. Donnovan was sort of into it until we went to the bra section. He was so ready to go. So we did over to the grocery side so she could get some snacks. So after lunch we took her home and we went to the movies to finish our weekend off.
Jasmine's bday was Feb 21 and her party isn't until March 6th she couldn't make up her mind on a party. So this should be interesting. It's gonna be at the Ranlo Lodge. She got her braces off today and they look really good. She was so happy. Will post pics after the party.
Well a lot of stuff has been going on but too much to write about. Family is everything so don't ever take them for granted or the time you spend with them. Enjoy every moment!!!! I love my family close and extended. Everyone goes thru trials and tribulation but it is how we handle them and grow and learn from them. I love my family and I am so glad I have them.

Found My Brother

I was floored when I put in my last name Lewallen into Face Book and my step mother's name popped up. So I sent a friend request to see how she and Jeremy were doing. So we talked for a couple of days and when I woke up Saturday morning he had sent me a friend request. So we talked a little bit Saturday afternoon thru IM. It was good to talk to him and Clydette. He works for Gaston County Police Dept. It is really weird having a brother and have never once talked to him. Shame on me:(. So hopefully now we can stay in touch. He graduated from UNC Wilmington in May 2008.

Not Much Going On

Well as everyone knows we took our vacation week to redo our one and only bathroom. Needless to say it is still a work in progress. I just want to say that I know a professional didn't do the work and I am sure if they did it would be perfect. But let me tell you my husband did an awesome job on the repairs. He worked all week and it looks amazing and he got all of that rotten wood from the leak out. I just can't get over how he knows what to do on things like that. He is a jack of all trades and he is mastering them all. LOL I love that he wants to jump on projects like that well I don't do to much but sit and watch and be his goofer. That is fine. I am always asking you need something what can I do. Stop talking I know that is what is saying in his mind. I just don't want to even imagine how much money we saved by doing the work ourselves. BIG MONEY!!! I am sure if we had it to spend we would have loved to hire someone to come in to do it but we are penny pincher's when it comes to stuff like that and we love to try to do things like that ourselves. So now I am thinking of painting the walls a different color to much beige I do believe. If I could get my lazy butt up and finish it I would be much much happier. But anyway. Will post pics when I am done hopefully it will be this year. LOL

So mom has rented her house and the people are moving in Sept 1st. It is gonna be really weird riding by the house I grew up in seeing other people live there. Amy or Heather why didn't you move back here????? The people seem really nice and very friendly. I am sure they will take good care of the house they better anyway. I still remember when Jason got a saw for Christmas one year and sawed on the corner of the wall going upstairs. He was ready to do some building or destruction one. LOL I am at work now worrying about the company and where it is headed. Our service has gone down in the one area that actually makes up money and keeps us afloat Residential. NOT GOOD. But I am here for as long as I can be.

Mom has a birthday coming up soon and it is hard to believe in 30 days I will be 40!!!! Don't feel it for sure. Jasmine starts back to school Tuesday, Aug. 25. WOW she will be in the 10th grade where has time gone??? 3 more years of high school and then off to college. I am not ready for this yet can't she go back to Sherwood. She has grown into a wonderful and beautiful lady and I am very proud of her. I took her school shopping a couple of weeks ago and bought her some clothes and I need to take her back this weekend too. She never ask for anything so when she does I know she really wants it or needs it. I love that about her she is an only child(who lives with us) but you would never know it she is down to earth and not at all ungrateful. She may be a little spoiled but you would still never know that either. I sure wish Heather and Amy lived near us so she would have her aunts around she loves them and misses them. I wish I had Matthew around I am sure he would keep me active and keep me on my toes. I love watching the videos and seeing pics they post he is growing up so fast. I look at his baby pics and now don't even look like the same person. Well I am gone back to work and try to keep my eyes open.

I would like to say that I am thankful for my family and feel blessed everyday to have such a wonderful husband and children. I don't see the other 3 that much but I do love them and care about them a lot. Without Jesus Christ our house wouldn't be a home and our hearts would be empty. I may not go to church like I should but I do follow the commandments and will always put Christ first in my life. Because without him I and we are nothing. :)!!!! Love each of you.

Crazy Weekend

This is how my weekend went. Work all day Friday then get off work and mom calls wanting my help over at grandmas to help load up somethings on the truck. So go do that go shopping for Jasmine a dress for Sandie's wedding and then to shop for her a gift. Got all that done then go over to moms to help her set up for her yard sale. Get home at 11:15 talk to Donnovan for a little bit then off to bed at midnight. Get up the next morning at 5:45 to go help mom with the yard sale and get through with that at 1pm rush home to get ready to have Jasmine at the church at 2 for the wedding she was suppose to help with the register. Didn't happen we got there are 2:40. Oh well I told mom I needed to leave at 11 so I could go get ready and do Jasmine's hair too. Wedding was a hoot and Sandie and Jason was so sweet together and happy. Everything was beautiful. I loved the colors she had. Food was awesome Greg did a great job of course. There were some mishaps but we had a great time. So then we went to visit mom before she left to go back to Virginia. Went to p/u Jasmine from a play she went to see and then home to get into the bed at 10:30. I was so tired I slept till 9:30 the next morning and wouldn't have woke up then but mom came down before she left. So we had a great day Sunday rested and relaxed and visited Louise and just didn't do anything much. Great Day with my family except me and Jasmine got into a BIG argument about driving. I hope now she understands where I am coming from. She apologized later on and said she did understand. So I wonder how many more we will have??? Well this week should be smooth Jasmine is leaving Friday to go with my aunts to the my moms for a 10 days of fun and sun. Kids have it made!!!!

Happy and Sad Day

Well Jasmine went to get her permit this morning. I am glad she got it but sad because that means she is one more step to growing up. This time next year she will have her license and a job and she will be a jr at school after that. Where has time gone??? It seems just the other day I was walking her into

Sherwood and now she is at Ashbrook in 3 years she will be graduating and then off to college. My baby is growing up and this is sad. She has been such a blessing to me .

Virginia Beach

Well this past weekend we went to mom's house to check it out and see the beach. Her condo is really nice I love the layout. It doesn't seem like home but she is still working on it. I guess home will always be at Churchill Drive. It felt weird walking into it the first time and she said this is home. I loved the view. We took Lady our older Chi with us and she was so funny. I have never ever seen her act so happy and full of life. As soon as we got back home Sunday she went back into her shell. Poor dog. So this is how the weekend panned out. CRAZY CRAZY is all I can say. So I don't get into the bed until 12am Thursday nite and then have to get up at 6:30 to be at work by 8am cause my coworker is having to work on the truck Friday. So work all day till 4:30 get off fly home get everything ready and packed and wait on Donnovan to get home at 7pm. We load the car he takes a shower and we finally get to leave at 8:30. So then we have to stop and get dinner so we are out of Charlotte at 9pm. I drive all nite we finally get to moms at around 3:15am get unpacked and stay up till 4am. Go to bed then I am up at 7:30 up and ready to go well I am the only one up and ready to go. So finally everyone starts waking up and we get ready and go to the beach around 11:30. It is hot as you know what heat index is 106. But the kids had fun and the wind was blowing a bit so it wasn't totally unbearable. Of course we had to pack the kitchen with us to take. LOL (you know mom) The boys stayed in the ocean from 12pm till 5pm and played non stop. They came up and ate a sandwich and went back they were wore out by the time we left and that nite they didn't feel like doing anything but sleeping and resting. But no we didn't let them we took them back down to the boardwalk and they road a couple of rides and then back to the house. I think we wore mom and Don out after we left they had to take a nap. So we slept really good Saturday nite after we got back. DaShun got sick in the middle of the nite from all the heat and excitement and lack of sleep. So we left at 3pm to come back home Sunday and feel out. We took the kids home Monday morning and stopped by Waffle House and had breakfast. Jasmine started drivers ed Monday and per her instructor she did great and can get her permit Friday. YEAH YEAH!!!!! So this was our trip the next time I am going to go for a long weekend while Donnovan is on a long trip. I will miss having him go with me but we can't do those trips like that is was to stressful and tiring. Until next time peace love and happiness always!!!!

This Week and Weekend

Well Donnovan asked me the other day why do I not post on here anymore and to be honest just don't think about it. So to make him happy I am posting. Well not much going on my way and the family but work and this and that. We are driving to mom's this weekend to spend a couple of days. We aren't going to be able to leave till Donnovan gets home from work Friday night so hopefully that will be early. That is if he can keep his partner out of the rest areas. He has medical problems that for some reason no one can fix. Another story for another day. Trust me when I say I never thought Donnovan didn't have patience but riding with him I know he does he just DOESN'T practice it with me. LOL
Well the kids are doing fine Shea graduated this year from Shelby High went to that on June 9th. She is going to Gardner Web to study nursing. DJ is playing football this summer and went to a training camp he is #5 next year don't know about his grades it is best I don't ask. So he will be a 11th grader next year. Jasmine will be a 10th grader next year. She made all A's of course and a GPA 4.75/4.00. Totally proud of her. DaShun will be in the 8th grade next year. I don't really know how he does in school every time you ask he don't know. So I stopped asking. But everyone passed!!!! WHOOHOO
Mom seems excited about us coming up it is just such a long driver for 1 1/2 but oh well I am going anyway since Donnovan didn't have to take that other trip. Give the kids something to do anyway. We are waiting to hear from Jasmine's school about her driving so she can go get her permit. It is taking entirely to long.
Well we have another dog not by my choice at all. I was happy feeding him and him living at Shea's. So now all my pretty green grass that I have never never had at the area where my gate is all gone:(. So we have got to do something cause I can't go sit outside without him barking like crazy. NERVE RACKING!!!!!! But all in all he is a sweet dog and just wants some attention but I don't have time for it I have 4 of my own that don't require a lot just to sit on my lap that is what I like. I had some plans for my little lawn area but I don't see how that is possible now so back to the drawing board.
It is strange not having hardly any family around now. I seen Betty and Brenda the other day for about 30 mins and grandma moved up with Linda. All you hear from mom is I am going to the beach she is turning into a beach bum. LOL At least she is happy that is what counts she has earned it both her and Don. I like the beach but I don't think I would like living so close to one cause I wouldn't never get anything done and Donnovan would probably divorce me cause I would be there instead of working. Our life is great I love everyday of it I have a wonderful family and am so thankful for each of them. I love road trips and so do they so we are a perfect match. If I say go they say when don't even really care where just when how long we staying. So if they do good this mini trip we are playing our vacation first week of August. So July is gonna drag by.
This is long I know sorry but have a lot to say. So I am gone for now hope this finds everyone ,the total of 3 that reads it, in good health.

The Weekend

Well this past weekend was Easter and we didn't do anything much but go to my parents to have lunch then went to visit Donnovan's mom. We had the kids but they are to old to Easter egg hunt with anymore. Donnovan worked out in the yard all day Saturday sowing new grass. I am keeping my fingers cross that my flower bed lives and his grass grows. Do far my flowers have made it a week. YEAH!!! I don't have a green thumb at all. We are taking our house remodeling one week and one month at a time. We are working on the yard right now and then we are starting on painting the house and replacing gutters. I am so excited Donnovan is gonna pour me a concrete pad over next to my fence so I can put chairs and a table out there. I can't wait I love to sit outside. I think that is gonna to excite me more than new grass. LOL I have already staked claims on my moms outside table and chairs and her swing if she is gonna sell it or store it. I don't know if she will have room where she is going for that or not hopefully she will cause that would be nice to go out there and sit. The rest of this month and next month is gonna be crazy. A lot of stuff going on.

Well Jasmine starts drivers ed tomorrow. I am so excited for her. I have been taking her driving at the cemetery. At least I know she can't hurt anything or anyone there. LOL!!! But she is growing so fast where does time go. Today is my nephews birthday he is 1 year old. I wish I was there to celebrate this day with him. He is so so cute.

We added a new member to our family last week her name is Lady. She is a 9yr old Chi and she is so sweet and loving. I am so glad we got her. She has potty trained and playful. I am a member of this group called Chi Meetup Group and a lady was giving her away she had her since she was 6 weeks old. She has an bigger dog and he was getting to frisky with her and they were afraid she was gonna get hurt. No one wanted her too that was sad :( but I did of course. I will post a pic. Well I am gone back to work now hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

Parents Moving....

Well mom called me today at 12:30 stating they are moving to Norfolk. I guess I was sort of surprised when I heard her those words. Oh well I am sad to see them go but they are only 6 hours away not like Heather 30 plus hours away. I am going to miss them like crazy and I guess just knowing they are right up the road from me. I took that for granted now it is gone. I haven't really seen mom a lot over the past few months with her school and working schedule. I am happy for them they like the ocean now they are right beside it and of course now I have a vacation spot!!!!

Type 2 Diabetes

I knew it was coming since I was told about 5 years ago I have PCOS. That is a part of PCOS is being insulin resistant and diabetes. So it wasn't a real shell shocker today when my doctor told me that and put me on medication. But with diet and exercise I can go off the meds once I have it under control. I have been sort of trying to put it out of my mind but couldn't anymore so I went on to the doctor. I worry about Jasmine too so I am calling to make her an appointment to be checked as well. So my journey has started today with changing my eating habits and exercise. To me it is a blessing so I can live longer and see my kids grow up and have kids. (later on way down the road) Going to get rx filled and start them today too. I worry about something happening to me and leaving my family. I don't how Jasmine would take it if anything ever happened to me so I have her to think about. Donnovan would miss me who else would pick on him like I do and give me a hard time about things. Only me in my special way. Well I just wanted to share and am looking forward to my new life.

Oh yeah by the way Donnovan is going to the dr too and see about his blood pressure and cholesterol. We both need to start living right and do what is right for our bodies.

So that is all for today since I haven't posted in a few weeks thought it was about time I did.

Updates

It has been a while since I did my last post so here it goes. Donnovan's grandmother passed away on Valentine's Day so we have been spending more time with his mom. Which I have enjoyed a lot. She seems to be in better spirits when she has company around her. We took her to the race trax this past weekend she had a great time. Not much else going on just the norm I guess work and home life cleaning and cooking and such. We have had some awesome weather for the past few days and the weekend was amazing. Oh yea Shea turned 18 March 4th. We took her out to eat and of all places for her to choose Denny's go figure that. Ever place we went to was packed of course it being a Saturday night. But I thought it was really good. Just don't ever get a Cherry Cherry Limeade. NASTY Yuck!!!
So we have the kids this weekend. I have got to go pick up a few more things to eat on but other than that I am done grocery shopping. Well me and Donnovan are going on the Atkins diet starting Monday so I will need to pick up a few things for us to eat on. I am excited to see if Donnovan will stick to it he should he loves to eat meat and that is what Atkins is all about me on the other hand no a real meat eater. So I eat a lot of chicken. Red meat I can do without. So I will keep my blog updated on our progress.
I don't ever get to see my mom she works and goes to school and her hours are crazy. She told me she has applied for a job out in Salt Lake City. I will be sad if she leaves but I know she needs to work and that will make her happy being out there with Heather, Amy, and Matthew. Our family used to be close but we aren't anymore and haven't been for a while now. It used to bother me a lot since I don't have anything to do with "father's" side of the family. But oh well life goes on and change is always going to happen whether it is good or bad. I wish them luck on their new journey.
