Found My Brother

I was floored when I put in my last name Lewallen into Face Book and my step mother's name popped up. So I sent a friend request to see how she and Jeremy were doing. So we talked for a couple of days and when I woke up Saturday morning he had sent me a friend request. So we talked a little bit Saturday afternoon thru IM. It was good to talk to him and Clydette. He works for Gaston County Police Dept. It is really weird having a brother and have never once talked to him. Shame on me:(. So hopefully now we can stay in touch. He graduated from UNC Wilmington in May 2008.

Not Much Going On

Well as everyone knows we took our vacation week to redo our one and only bathroom. Needless to say it is still a work in progress. I just want to say that I know a professional didn't do the work and I am sure if they did it would be perfect. But let me tell you my husband did an awesome job on the repairs. He worked all week and it looks amazing and he got all of that rotten wood from the leak out. I just can't get over how he knows what to do on things like that. He is a jack of all trades and he is mastering them all. LOL I love that he wants to jump on projects like that well I don't do to much but sit and watch and be his goofer. That is fine. I am always asking you need something what can I do. Stop talking I know that is what is saying in his mind. I just don't want to even imagine how much money we saved by doing the work ourselves. BIG MONEY!!! I am sure if we had it to spend we would have loved to hire someone to come in to do it but we are penny pincher's when it comes to stuff like that and we love to try to do things like that ourselves. So now I am thinking of painting the walls a different color to much beige I do believe. If I could get my lazy butt up and finish it I would be much much happier. But anyway. Will post pics when I am done hopefully it will be this year. LOL

So mom has rented her house and the people are moving in Sept 1st. It is gonna be really weird riding by the house I grew up in seeing other people live there. Amy or Heather why didn't you move back here????? The people seem really nice and very friendly. I am sure they will take good care of the house they better anyway. I still remember when Jason got a saw for Christmas one year and sawed on the corner of the wall going upstairs. He was ready to do some building or destruction one. LOL I am at work now worrying about the company and where it is headed. Our service has gone down in the one area that actually makes up money and keeps us afloat Residential. NOT GOOD. But I am here for as long as I can be.

Mom has a birthday coming up soon and it is hard to believe in 30 days I will be 40!!!! Don't feel it for sure. Jasmine starts back to school Tuesday, Aug. 25. WOW she will be in the 10th grade where has time gone??? 3 more years of high school and then off to college. I am not ready for this yet can't she go back to Sherwood. She has grown into a wonderful and beautiful lady and I am very proud of her. I took her school shopping a couple of weeks ago and bought her some clothes and I need to take her back this weekend too. She never ask for anything so when she does I know she really wants it or needs it. I love that about her she is an only child(who lives with us) but you would never know it she is down to earth and not at all ungrateful. She may be a little spoiled but you would still never know that either. I sure wish Heather and Amy lived near us so she would have her aunts around she loves them and misses them. I wish I had Matthew around I am sure he would keep me active and keep me on my toes. I love watching the videos and seeing pics they post he is growing up so fast. I look at his baby pics and now don't even look like the same person. Well I am gone back to work and try to keep my eyes open.

I would like to say that I am thankful for my family and feel blessed everyday to have such a wonderful husband and children. I don't see the other 3 that much but I do love them and care about them a lot. Without Jesus Christ our house wouldn't be a home and our hearts would be empty. I may not go to church like I should but I do follow the commandments and will always put Christ first in my life. Because without him I and we are nothing. :)!!!! Love each of you.

Crazy Weekend

This is how my weekend went. Work all day Friday then get off work and mom calls wanting my help over at grandmas to help load up somethings on the truck. So go do that go shopping for Jasmine a dress for Sandie's wedding and then to shop for her a gift. Got all that done then go over to moms to help her set up for her yard sale. Get home at 11:15 talk to Donnovan for a little bit then off to bed at midnight. Get up the next morning at 5:45 to go help mom with the yard sale and get through with that at 1pm rush home to get ready to have Jasmine at the church at 2 for the wedding she was suppose to help with the register. Didn't happen we got there are 2:40. Oh well I told mom I needed to leave at 11 so I could go get ready and do Jasmine's hair too. Wedding was a hoot and Sandie and Jason was so sweet together and happy. Everything was beautiful. I loved the colors she had. Food was awesome Greg did a great job of course. There were some mishaps but we had a great time. So then we went to visit mom before she left to go back to Virginia. Went to p/u Jasmine from a play she went to see and then home to get into the bed at 10:30. I was so tired I slept till 9:30 the next morning and wouldn't have woke up then but mom came down before she left. So we had a great day Sunday rested and relaxed and visited Louise and just didn't do anything much. Great Day with my family except me and Jasmine got into a BIG argument about driving. I hope now she understands where I am coming from. She apologized later on and said she did understand. So I wonder how many more we will have??? Well this week should be smooth Jasmine is leaving Friday to go with my aunts to the my moms for a 10 days of fun and sun. Kids have it made!!!!

Happy and Sad Day

Well Jasmine went to get her permit this morning. I am glad she got it but sad because that means she is one more step to growing up. This time next year she will have her license and a job and she will be a jr at school after that. Where has time gone??? It seems just the other day I was walking her into

Sherwood and now she is at Ashbrook in 3 years she will be graduating and then off to college. My baby is growing up and this is sad. She has been such a blessing to me .

Virginia Beach

Well this past weekend we went to mom's house to check it out and see the beach. Her condo is really nice I love the layout. It doesn't seem like home but she is still working on it. I guess home will always be at Churchill Drive. It felt weird walking into it the first time and she said this is home. I loved the view. We took Lady our older Chi with us and she was so funny. I have never ever seen her act so happy and full of life. As soon as we got back home Sunday she went back into her shell. Poor dog. So this is how the weekend panned out. CRAZY CRAZY is all I can say. So I don't get into the bed until 12am Thursday nite and then have to get up at 6:30 to be at work by 8am cause my coworker is having to work on the truck Friday. So work all day till 4:30 get off fly home get everything ready and packed and wait on Donnovan to get home at 7pm. We load the car he takes a shower and we finally get to leave at 8:30. So then we have to stop and get dinner so we are out of Charlotte at 9pm. I drive all nite we finally get to moms at around 3:15am get unpacked and stay up till 4am. Go to bed then I am up at 7:30 up and ready to go well I am the only one up and ready to go. So finally everyone starts waking up and we get ready and go to the beach around 11:30. It is hot as you know what heat index is 106. But the kids had fun and the wind was blowing a bit so it wasn't totally unbearable. Of course we had to pack the kitchen with us to take. LOL (you know mom) The boys stayed in the ocean from 12pm till 5pm and played non stop. They came up and ate a sandwich and went back they were wore out by the time we left and that nite they didn't feel like doing anything but sleeping and resting. But no we didn't let them we took them back down to the boardwalk and they road a couple of rides and then back to the house. I think we wore mom and Don out after we left they had to take a nap. So we slept really good Saturday nite after we got back. DaShun got sick in the middle of the nite from all the heat and excitement and lack of sleep. So we left at 3pm to come back home Sunday and feel out. We took the kids home Monday morning and stopped by Waffle House and had breakfast. Jasmine started drivers ed Monday and per her instructor she did great and can get her permit Friday. YEAH YEAH!!!!! So this was our trip the next time I am going to go for a long weekend while Donnovan is on a long trip. I will miss having him go with me but we can't do those trips like that is was to stressful and tiring. Until next time peace love and happiness always!!!!

This Week and Weekend

Well Donnovan asked me the other day why do I not post on here anymore and to be honest just don't think about it. So to make him happy I am posting. Well not much going on my way and the family but work and this and that. We are driving to mom's this weekend to spend a couple of days. We aren't going to be able to leave till Donnovan gets home from work Friday night so hopefully that will be early. That is if he can keep his partner out of the rest areas. He has medical problems that for some reason no one can fix. Another story for another day. Trust me when I say I never thought Donnovan didn't have patience but riding with him I know he does he just DOESN'T practice it with me. LOL
Well the kids are doing fine Shea graduated this year from Shelby High went to that on June 9th. She is going to Gardner Web to study nursing. DJ is playing football this summer and went to a training camp he is #5 next year don't know about his grades it is best I don't ask. So he will be a 11th grader next year. Jasmine will be a 10th grader next year. She made all A's of course and a GPA 4.75/4.00. Totally proud of her. DaShun will be in the 8th grade next year. I don't really know how he does in school every time you ask he don't know. So I stopped asking. But everyone passed!!!! WHOOHOO
Mom seems excited about us coming up it is just such a long driver for 1 1/2 but oh well I am going anyway since Donnovan didn't have to take that other trip. Give the kids something to do anyway. We are waiting to hear from Jasmine's school about her driving so she can go get her permit. It is taking entirely to long.
Well we have another dog not by my choice at all. I was happy feeding him and him living at Shea's. So now all my pretty green grass that I have never never had at the area where my gate is all gone:(. So we have got to do something cause I can't go sit outside without him barking like crazy. NERVE RACKING!!!!!! But all in all he is a sweet dog and just wants some attention but I don't have time for it I have 4 of my own that don't require a lot just to sit on my lap that is what I like. I had some plans for my little lawn area but I don't see how that is possible now so back to the drawing board.
It is strange not having hardly any family around now. I seen Betty and Brenda the other day for about 30 mins and grandma moved up with Linda. All you hear from mom is I am going to the beach she is turning into a beach bum. LOL At least she is happy that is what counts she has earned it both her and Don. I like the beach but I don't think I would like living so close to one cause I wouldn't never get anything done and Donnovan would probably divorce me cause I would be there instead of working. Our life is great I love everyday of it I have a wonderful family and am so thankful for each of them. I love road trips and so do they so we are a perfect match. If I say go they say when don't even really care where just when how long we staying. So if they do good this mini trip we are playing our vacation first week of August. So July is gonna drag by.
This is long I know sorry but have a lot to say. So I am gone for now hope this finds everyone ,the total of 3 that reads it, in good health.

The Weekend

Well this past weekend was Easter and we didn't do anything much but go to my parents to have lunch then went to visit Donnovan's mom. We had the kids but they are to old to Easter egg hunt with anymore. Donnovan worked out in the yard all day Saturday sowing new grass. I am keeping my fingers cross that my flower bed lives and his grass grows. Do far my flowers have made it a week. YEAH!!! I don't have a green thumb at all. We are taking our house remodeling one week and one month at a time. We are working on the yard right now and then we are starting on painting the house and replacing gutters. I am so excited Donnovan is gonna pour me a concrete pad over next to my fence so I can put chairs and a table out there. I can't wait I love to sit outside. I think that is gonna to excite me more than new grass. LOL I have already staked claims on my moms outside table and chairs and her swing if she is gonna sell it or store it. I don't know if she will have room where she is going for that or not hopefully she will cause that would be nice to go out there and sit. The rest of this month and next month is gonna be crazy. A lot of stuff going on.

Well Jasmine starts drivers ed tomorrow. I am so excited for her. I have been taking her driving at the cemetery. At least I know she can't hurt anything or anyone there. LOL!!! But she is growing so fast where does time go. Today is my nephews birthday he is 1 year old. I wish I was there to celebrate this day with him. He is so so cute.

We added a new member to our family last week her name is Lady. She is a 9yr old Chi and she is so sweet and loving. I am so glad we got her. She has potty trained and playful. I am a member of this group called Chi Meetup Group and a lady was giving her away she had her since she was 6 weeks old. She has an bigger dog and he was getting to frisky with her and they were afraid she was gonna get hurt. No one wanted her too that was sad :( but I did of course. I will post a pic. Well I am gone back to work now hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!
