Just A Note

Ok those weekend was a relaxing one. Friday night Donnovan had to work and Jasmine went to a teen club called Positive Vibe with her friend Kelly. So I had the evening to myself so what to do. So what did I do go and clean up my car. Ran it thru the wash and cleaned the inside up really good. So that was my evening but my car looked great. So Jasmine didn't have a good time she said it was lame. So she is going to try another little teen club in Gastonia. (Maybe) Got to check it out first I liked the Positive Vibe the owners are parents of 2 girls Jazz goes to school with and come out and meet you and let you go in and take a look around if you want. Very nice people. So anyway after I got her I went home and went to bed.

I made the mistake of asking Jasmine to go with me to Lowes to look at some bathroom fixtures we are getting ready to undertake a bathroom remodeling project for this I wish I had my brother-in-law Josh here to help. He did a great job on their house. We are splitting our 1 bathroom into 2 bathrooms. It can be done but of course I will have to put with Donnovan's 500 million reason why he can't. (Don Jr.) Then of course Jasmine had to go to Kmart, Payless Shoes, and Target. Not in my plan at all I hate to shop. We didn't even make it to Lowes we went when Donnovan got home. But we have some pretty good ideas well I do anyway. I will post pics when he starts.

Well nothing big this weekend I learned from a lady I worked with at WM that so called holidays like Valentines is just another day to go spend money u don't have. I agree. Donnovan bought me some roses a few years ago and spent 80.00 and they died 2 days later that was a waste. Now don't get me wrong I love flowers but it don't have to be roses Walmart sells a bunch of flowers cheap and they smell and last long. It was a sweet thought. We are double dating with DJ and his girlfriend this weekend on Valentine's Day. Should be fun I am going to take him to Walmart to get her a card, candy, and flowers. I want this to be special for him because he acts totally different around a good different. Want to keep her around. LOL

My Rant About THE NEWS MEDIA

Ok I am so sick of the news media when it comes to weather reports!!! We had a little snow flurry (and when I say little I mean little) last night and you would think it looked like this(Kentucky pics). What is the deal?? Jasmine's school was delayed 2 hours for what I don't know Mecklenburg County closed for the day. I don't know what in the world they would do if we had weather like they did up North. Donnovan sent me pics on several trips and it was really bad looking. The media down here wouldn't know how to act. They were on this am for their normal 5-7am news slot and then Good Morning America comes on at 7. Can you say that they delayed GMA from coming on so they could continue to cover the "Winter Storm" this morning. GIVE ME A BREAK PEOPLE. Ok that is my rant for today.

My Weekend

It was a relaxing weekend to say the least. No stress that is what I like. We had all the kids this weekend and we got to meet DJ's girlfriend she was really nice and cute. So we just all hung out at the house and we watched the Superbowl Sunday. Okay once I write that down it sounds really boring. So maybe the next time they come up I will take them somewhere just to get them out of the house. Jasmine's bday this year is on a Saturday so I don't know what she has in mind to do but all she keeps talking about is a party. Don't think so not this year. I told her for her 16th bday she can have a party it will take me a year to save for it. hahaha She will be 15 WOW she has only 3 more years to go to be 18 where has time gone???? Shea the oldest will be 18 March 4. DaShun just turned 13 and DJ will be 16 June 30. It won't be long it will be just me and Donnovan at home the rate this keeps up. Then I will sad missing the house full of kids playing and talking. I may say I won't miss it now but I will be then.

Ok well I was looking thru pics on Donnovan's phone yesterday and seen some pics of Matthew and he was so cute and cuddly looking. I miss me a lot and wish I could see him more. I have his baby pic on my table and it funny to see how much he has grown and changed just over the past 9 months. They just grow so fast and change so much you stop and wonder where time goes.

I do have 1 pic to add today on what I did on Sunday beside watch football. It was nail trimming day for my dogs and the 2 female dogs are sweet and will let you cut their nails. The boy dog Max, of course it had to be a male, gives me a fit every time so this is what I have to do to him to get his nails clipped. Isn't that a shame that you have to muzzle a 3 1/2 pd dog just to do something so simple and clip nails. It is either that or get bit or take him and spend 10 bucks and that isn't happening.

My Friday

So I am sitting at work right now wishing it was 2:30 so my weekend could go ahead and begin. The kids are coming over this weekend so we will be taking a trip to Shelby today or tonite rather. So Mr. DJ informed us that is now has a girlfriend that he has been seeing or talking to now for the past 2 months. She is a junior and has a car. Yeah right that is what I said the trouble now begins. So he said he has a date tonite and will be over maybe Saturday. Was wondering when all this was going to start but he is growing up I just hope that he is being responsible. That is all I am going to say on that note.
So Jasmine got her report card yesterday and of course all straight A's and I might say very high averages too. She is smart as a whip. Shea also sent me a message and she got all A's and B's on her report card too. Way to go girls!!! Haven't heard from the boys so don't know if that is bad sign or not. We will see.
Donnovan just sent me pics of the conditions he is having to drive in and it isn't good at all. But I guess what worries me the most is that he is taking pictures while he is driving. That doesn't seem to safe to me. But as he always says to me "Angela you drive for a privilege I drive for a profession" and the other one is " I can handle this I have driven more miles backward than u have forward". So why bother saying anything. I still worry can't help it. I feel so bad for the people who live up in Kentucky not knowing when they are going to have power. I guess I am thankful I live like 2 mins from my parents and they have a generator. Yes I can still go running home to mommy.
So it is Super Bowl Sunday and we have plans to stay at home and watch the game in pjs and on my couch. Of course my 3 dogs will be sitting on my lap or laying on my legs under a blanket sleeping. I have 3 Chi that are spoiled beyond belief who get on my nerves but I love them anyway. That is another story for another day about me and my 3 dogs. Well I am gone back to work now and try to get thru these next 3 hours.

I SEE SUNSHINE

Well this week and just about all last weekend was very icky outside. Major overcast and just nasty outside no sunshine. So today is Thursday and I am looking out my office window and the sun just a shining. AWESOME!!! I think there is just one thing that could be better than that and that is some snow. I would love to have a really good snow that would last all weekend and then go away on Monday when it is time to go to work. Can't miss any work or Jasmine's school work. I feel so sorry for Donnovan he is having to drive thru Kentucky, Indiana, and then Chitown. He had some really bad weather. It was really icy roads the snow I don't worry as much but when you have ice. Well I pray for his safe trip today and tomorrow and will be glad when this nasty weather up there is gone so I don't have to worry so much.

First Blog

Well this is my first time doing a blog so bare with me. Today is a awesome day the weather is beautiful and my family is healthy and doing great. All of my family lives near me except my 2 sisters that are out west. We miss them very much and especially my little nephew. I am married with 4 kids. All are teenagers so say a prayer for me. They are great kids and wouldn't trade them for nothing in the world. Donnovan, my husband, and I love to ride motorcycles. That is our escape from all the stress and worries from the week.
